so this chick ive know for 8 years me and her were talkin at one poin to try and get together but that really didnt work. But she has just texted me to ask if she can borrow 10 bucks to get on the train. Not sure if i should give it to her i sorta want her to earn it cuz i dont just give away money if i work for mine. what would you all say and do?

I'd say "Sure" and give her the money. It's 10 bucks man, and you've known her for a long time. At this point is not about looking cool (making her earn it) it's about avoiding looking cheap. That money won't make you rich .

Give her the money without expectations. Make it a one-time deal, and keep working things out with her.

That's really your decision, and only you know what the two of you are going through. Apparently, she's not exclusive with you (considering there's another guy), so I don't know how you feel about that.

Also, you're showing signs of emotional interest in this person, who makes me believe you either love her or you are totally frustrated with her (or both).
