I met this hb8 at an asian social gathering. She's japanese and a hb8.

Anyway we had a good 20 minute conversation and we played the secrets question, so we shared pretty personal info. We got each others number.

We texted each other for a bit and then she says
Hey I just want to let you know I have a bf. You're a really nice person but I dont think it's right to be too close to you.

To which I replied:
Oh ok I understand. I just hung out w a friend tn. Hope u had a great night as well.

So I waited a week and started texting her.
me: How've you been!

some more texting...

her: Hey I was thinking that i shouldnt go to dinner w u or speak to u since i have a bf. I won't text u again.

me: Lol what? U can't have friends when u have a bf?

Any idea how to get this girl? She's obviously attracted to me but wont get too close because of her bf.

It could be me but I don't think boyfriend destroyers work so well over text. So you have to get in the same room with her to get anywhere.

Unfortunately, if she's very into her bf then you can't win. Best odds may be to go for the whole "I understand that you are attracted to me, but I just wanna be friends so don't worry! Having a boyfriend shouldn't mean we can't hang out"-kind of deal. I.e. make her consider what she's missing out on just because she's so prudish about having a bf and call her on being into you (why else would she not wanna hang out right?) and make sure she thinks it's not mutual. Of course if you've flirted heavily already or acted needy etc etc this option is closed because it would be incongruent which is even worse.

Also avoid courtship shit like dinner, coffee or anything that even looks like a date. Go see an art show/go hiking/do something interesting instead.
