About creating an avatar you have to know what your comfortable with and not.
In my oppinion skaters only get some types of ladies, while a well dressed guy almost gets any lady.
In my oppinion someone who is too dressy is the ones that wears suits and such things. Like suit pants and a nice shirt. Thats too dressy for me. I can't see myself walk around like that. And I dont think you would either.
But Nice simple style is cardigans, t-shirts with prints on it, pull overs, shirts,jeans, nice sport shoes (nike,adidas,converse). hoodies (gstar, abercrombie, adidas is simple hoodies to wear). This for me is normal clothes you can wear at anytime because its casual. You're not trying to hard, and it looks good because its easy to mix.
When it comes to jackets, buy something neat. Something like a coat look-alike. It will get attention!
When it comes to hoodies (never use it on clubs), dont let them be tight, they should be one size over your original size. So if you're a medium, buy large.
Since I dont live in USA I dont know any good stores, but I always go for fashion brands and that is expensive, but I always buy replicas from china because its cheaper and there is no difference between them both, same material, looks exactly the same. But you should be able to find something.
