ok here's the story:

i'm chatting to this girl at work about a friend of my going on a date.

Girl- 'Is she pretty'
Me- 'No, but she looked pretty when she went out on that date'
Girl- 'That's not a very nice thing to say'
Me- 'But it's true. Besides, girls can do amazing things to make themselves look very different when they go out' (or something along these lines, I can't remember)
Girl- 'I don't look very different when I go out'
Me- 'That's because you're a rare beauty'

I said this in a really deadpan way as if it was the most natural thing to say in the world. She looked at me as if she didn't know if I was joking or being serious or what.

Now, I'm not attracted to this girl and wasn't even trying it on with her, but for future reference what does this kind of reaction mean? I've done similar things, and also in a jokey way, where I've had the same reaction. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? What was she thinking?

By the way, the conversation carried on after that gap with her joking that she'd rather I said extraordinary as rare sounds like it's describing something a bit weird.

awesome. ok here's my analysis on the whole situation. see the more you learn and practice becoming a PUA the more natual this stuff comes out in everyday conversation. we sarge our friends by accident without even trying, we neg them, we pass shit tests and out AMOG our wannabe alpha friends. this is the level we need to be at because that is when we truly become a PUA, when we no longer think about it and everything is seriously automatic

anyway... so when you said that she is a rare beauty she was probably thinking "wow, does he like me better than the girl he was talking a bout" or "is he attracted to me? am i attracted to him?"... not to mention you are already preselected since you're talking about a girl you went on a date with. being preselected and having DHV stories which you were doing makes you look more attractive, so she is probably beginning to like you in that way.

so when she said you probably should have said extraordinary instead, that is HER flirting back with YOU.

basically if you game her correctly you can have her... or you may already have her
