i have a question for anyone able to answer. I believe in mystery's methods but now that he has made it into the mass medial with that VH1 show, will it still work? how can it work when everytime you neg a girl or something they know you're running the game? after a while it will be as cheezy as every other lame pick up line....

please someone tell me why im wrong...

Yeah, but this isn't the first time the community has been exposed like this. It'll do nothing but attract a bunch of guys, most of whom aren't serious about it and will quit after a few days. The serious ones, along with the ones already here will just have to evolve.

If you're gonna call it a game, which it is as well as a way of life...you might as well admit that generally, in a game, events happen that call for a change in strategy. This will only make us stronger, the ones who are really in it for the long haul, that is. Evolution. It'll help us all put the creativity and ART back in Pick Up Artist. Perhaps even new schools of thought will form. Who knows?!

Have girls TOLD you they know what you're doing when you use the methods?

Granted, you won't always be able to use all the lines on everyone. Some girls know them, but some girls don't. But, it's not the lines themselves that do the job. Well, initially the lines give you a framwork, but once you understand the underlying principles, you don't need the lines. Once you know the attraction switches, you can use any wording that does the job.

So, yes, it still works.

to tell you the truth no- a girl has never directly said that they knew i was using these pick up lines..... And to let you know, i dont plan on quitting..i've been at it for 4 months now, still suck but still trying..I only bring it up because as a newby it's hard to not use the canned material because i havent been doing it long enough to create something that works for me just yet....It just bothered the hell out of me when i was sitting at the coffee shop yesterday and these two, i presume AFCs were, sitting there blabbing about the mystery's methods and what not in front of the entire story.....My approach anxiety comes with the the thought of going up to a girl and having her laugh because she watched mystery's show and knows exactly what im trying to do.....Its been such a huge mental block for me the last couple weeks that Ive stopped sarging....any advice to get over this mental block would help...perhaps ways of not being too obvious?..

The not being obvious part is mostly about body language. How you initially come into the set. Don't come in straight from the front. That's confrontational. Don't come in from behind. That's creepy. Come in at an angle from the side. And have the side of your body to the side of her body, NOT the front of your body to the side of hers.

Yeah, there's gonna be guys that do that kind of stuff, but the few girls that hear those guys ain't gonna matter.

And yes, with you just learning, you WILL need to use the canned openers, but just until you get some experience and use your head to use that experience to form your own material. Honestly, even after just a couple of weeks of REGULAR sarging, you should already start to be able to form some of your own material. It only took me like two consecutive weekends of actual sarging to start using my own material after that.

And, even then, once your confidence is built up, you can still occasionaly use one of the old standy openers or something else you had fallen back on at first. It's your own confidence that has the greatest effect on the whole process. And the way to build that up is the most painful thing . . . just go out and go through the process.

Oh man, I didn't mean to imply that you were gonna give up! Just a statement about the attitude of the general guy who comes in here after viewing an episode or two of the TV show.

We all have to start out somewhere, canned material is usually that jumping-off point. At least it is until you internalize a lot of the thought process behind it and develop your inner game. Maybe you suck, I doubt it, but keep at it! And just to be honest, I'm not claiming to be a master at all either.

I have actually had a girl call me out in the field. I approached the set with the "i gotta ask you guys a question" line, with my wing next to me, and she responded with "well whats the question mr pickup artist?" To which I instantly replied, "Actually, im a Sagittarius, but anyways..." and then proceeded into a nonsense question about whether or not a lime was just a lemon that hasnt ripened fully. Totally caught her off guard, and erased the word pickup artist from her mind. Kiss closed her friend (the original target).

That's an excellent way to handle that. You could have probably even kiss closed her after that.

I've been caught using caned material only one time and it was on a older woman, I was using the ring technique and she actually told me she has a friend reading the Mystery Method, I just laughed at it and told her I read it on the internet and then disarmed her. When using caned material always change the wording around specialy if your talking to an older women 30 and up, good luck.
