3 million years of evolution + Male Dominance + Female Submissiveness

= Male dominance and female submissiveness until we are extinct... and no feministic movement will change that... thank god

Depends when you see our species becoming extinct. Our species split apart from Chimps and Gorillas about 12 million years ago. All 3 species evolved from what we call "the missing link". Now, if you look at the 3 different species, you will notice that we have very different sexualities. Gorillas have harems with a male leader that has sex with a bunch of different females. Chimps have sex with as many partners as possible. Humans are predominantly monogamous and pair off for a time (note this is the majority, there are rules in India with harems and there are lots of people having sex with multiple partners as well).

Its evolution. Animal species develop sexuality based upon what will benifit their genes continual the best. So, in a couple millenia, it may be more benificial to the species to have women being the ones that sleep with as many guys as possible and the men lose their dominance, but at current, it isn't so.

For more information on the subject, check out Jared Diamond's Why is Sex Fun? The Evolution of Human Sexuality

Well not to be anal by the 3 species didnt evolve from the missing link. They evolved from Great Apes. Missing link is somewhere 160 thousand years ago. Now scientist have discover when they call the missing like in human evolution and call it Homo sapiens idàltu.
The ancestor of humans we call it Lucy and lived in Africa 2.0 to 3.6 mil years ago.

while i agree with your point of view as it is supported by the general consensus the reason i say this isn't necessary is that while way back when as things started.. men were the physically stronger sex.. and therefore it was the strongest survive and people followed the strongest warrior.. Throughout the hundreds of thousands and even millions of years of evolution this has fallen into a pattern throughout virtually the entire world..

However.. the anthropologist margaret mead found a few cultures in New Guinea that the roles were different..

Quote:
there's Arapesh, Tchambuli, and Mudugmor
Mead found that in the Arapesh culture, both men and women were expected to be equal. This culture was found to be very simple as both genders actively raised the children.

In the Tchambuli culture, she found that the sex roles are reversed. The women were brisk and hearty, and the men were in charge of the household.

In further contrast, the Mudugmor culture was very fierce. Both men and women were mean. Often the children were left to fend for themselves and infants of the wrong sex were commonly cast into a river to die.

These cultural differences were then published in another book, Sex and Temperament in Three Primitive Societies.
i'm simply saying that there's women out there who aren't that way.. it's a complicated topic but there's many points of views
