I have not written much on this forum in a while, so I decided to add some recent achievements of mine. This may sound a little like bragging, but I have some downsides too. I have many past, present and future goals that I wish to accomplish and/or have accomplished. Goal-setting and planning is very important because if you don't know what you set out to accomplish, you might not reach those goals. Goals give us a target to shoot for. Without this target, we can still score points in the game of life, but we may lose track of where we are.

Junior High - graduated with close to a 4.0GPA (I don't remember my exact grades there) Honor roll, CJSF (California Junior Scholastic Federation) honor student, President's Education Awards Program for Computers, wrestled/track 8th grade year

High School - graduated with almost a 3.6 GPA, track/field - 4 years, wrestling -3 years, football - 2 years, band - 2+ years, CSF (California Scholastic Federation) Sealbearer, Key Club "Kiwi" award, American Legion award, SAT scores - 1070

1st summer job at 18: Fire-Trol Holdings - making fire retardants that they use to fight fires, either on the ground and/or via "bomber" airplanes; learn to drive forklift

1st year of College - whew... it's all a blur. Starting major: Mechanical Engineering, lived in Lassen dormitory at Chico State the first year, difficult classes, lots of cute girls in the dorms (despite me staying a virgin til age 20), PE classes - Tae Kwon Do, weight lifting, ballroom dancing

2nd summer at Fire-Trol Holdings - started Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Arnis/kali/escrima, tai chi at a dojang in Chico

2nd year of college - decided Mechanical Engineering was too hard and switched to Manufacturing Technology/Engineering. Finally lost my virginity 2nd year of college.

Summer job - Meek's Hardware and Lumber

"Junior" year at Chico State - Fall semester was a struggle as I decided after it to switch my major again. I decided on Economics/psychology. Later it was revealed that this "double" major took a huge toll on me...

Incarcerated in the local jail. There I discovered I have bipolar disorder. I had to drop out of college that Spring semester. Released after 4 months...

Summer job - Blue Shield of CA through Rush Personnel

Fall 2003 of Chico State - Newly declared major as Economics: Option in Environmental Economics (lots of electives and science classes that I loved)

Spring 2004 - Walked with my "class" and continued with my education into Fall 2004 where I finished my Bachelors degree and received it in the mail shortly after: Bachelor of Arts in Economics: Option in Environmental Economics with a minor in Environmental Studies

Summer 2004 - In between this time, I did an internship/volunteer work with the US Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service as a Soil Conservation Aide

Spring/Summer/Fall (some of) 2005 - went back to work for Meek's Hardware and Lumber

Late 2005 - worked for a clothing company called Mervyn's over the holidays but somehow ended up messing that job up...

Early-summer 2006 - worked several "temp" jobs but my bipolar disorder manifested and none of them lasted

Summer 2006 - Summer 2007: worked for The Salvation Army in the warehouse and on the trucks

December 2006 - Received Certificate of Completion for Account Clerk through Butte Community College (the same college that Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers went to)

August - September 2007: more temp jobs that didn't work out

October 2007 - Present: Wal-Mart hires me on as a cashier. After my 90 day probation, they asked me to stay as a part-time employee where I am presently there.

Toastmasters International - I have been with this speech and leadership group for about 2 years now. I recently finished 10 speeches and have my Competent Communication title. Last year I served as Sergeant of Arms for my club and this year am serving as Vice President of Membership. I also became a mentor for a new member of the club.

AIPB (American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers) - I decided the best way for me to move up in the world is to increase my education. I am currently shooting for a CB (Certified Bookkeeper) designation. There are 4 exams consisting of 6 various parts all having to do with different sections of bookkeeping. I just started studying this so wish me luck!
