Hey Guys,

I just graduated from University, got a job and now I have some loose cash I'm looking to re-invent/add to my wardrobe and would appreciate some inspiration/ideas, if anyone could help me out I'd be very appreciative.

I'm from the UK, 6ft 4" and slim/athletic if that helps.

Thanks in advance

~Phate

You could use this opener I saw Mystery use a few times (he's about 6'4", too):
*wear tall stove pipe hat*
Approach and: "Does this shirt make me look too tall?"

I got a hold of some bootlegged copies from one of his seminars a few years back, and he used that a lot. Women laughed their asses off at it.

- Pick out fitted shirts. To big of shirts will make you look like a rug on a stick.
- Wear contrasting shirts and pants. This will make you look a bit shorter.
- Wear light colors. They make you look buffer.
- Avoid vertical stripes. Makes you look extra tall.

lol. Why would he do that? Height I think even in the UK is a good thing, why make himself look shorter?

I would say avoid strips all together really, they don't help tall guys any.

1. Not all people want to look super tall. I don't know how tall he is but I threw that in there just in case.

2. Horizontal stripes make you look wider... So if you are a tall skinny guy horizontal stripes will help make you look more filled out.
Besides strips are in style.

Making your self look shorter doesn't hurt you?

I'm a short guy... It has never hurt me.
If you think your height is effecting your results with women then you need help.

I don't think that. I am just asking wouldn't making you look shorter hurt you some when you are tall. I would think one would embellish that and bring it out more? That's what I do sometimes with my height as I view it as a good thing and not a bad thing.

For some men yes. But some guys look awkwardly tall. (For instance a super tall skin and bones type of guy) They just have the tall and lanky look which isn't to attractive.

Thanks guys, I have no issue with my height, I do embrace it, sure the odd girl might think I'm too tall for them but on the whole its worked great. I do wear shirts a lot for work, however I work at a University as a post-grad, I get paid to be a student, probably should have explained that but it's a complicated and great situation for me.

I usually wear shirt and trousers for work (on-campus most days) as my role is professional, so I can't get a way from that, but I'd like to step away from wearing shirts all the time at evenings/nights out, (The wearing bright fitted shirts thing at work at is what I do and I think it does look good) I'm looking for ideas of casual going out outfits, and since I will still go to student nights out primarily I could do with ideas that would fit into that.

Hope that's a little clearer.

Thanks

I'm tall as well. Get some custom-tailored shirts, they're not much more expensive than a regular quality shirt, and you can choose the style and the pattern. And the FIT! For me, it is very hard to find a shirt off the shelf that really fits. Usually, you will have an issue around the shoulder, or the arm length is not OK, or you get too much extra cloth around the belly that makes you look like besaid stick in a bag.
You can order them online and enter your data yourself.

I feel that girls look twice as critical at you when you're tall, and it becomes extra obvious if something is not right as you always stick out of the crowd, not matter what you do.
