I started working at a service station about a month ago. Bumped into this HB9 I used to really fancy back when we were in school and we started chatting as she worked in one of the shops in the same services. I work in sales so I'm in a suit every day so I thought I looked pretty sharp. Everything went cool and I went away feeling really good, then she left me a message on facebook asking me for my number and that we should meet up! Fantastic.

Anyway for the next few days we started texting eachother, catching up on what we'd been up to since school, and she started texting me when we were both working and actually taking the time out to come visit me. We had a couple of lunch 'dates' (not really but cant think of a better word) together and everything was fine even though I was shitting myself the whole time. When I first saw her everything was fine and I was relaxed, but as soon as I realised it might be going somewhere I completely started freaking out and running out things to say to her etc etc. She actually asked me out for a drink (probably as friends but I dunno) and I turned her down, I was seeing my mate that night. I thought turning her down once was a good thing to do, but she hasnt asked since. And she stopped texting me when she was in. I worked a 12 hour shift with her literally a minute away and we didn't talk once!

I wrote a work a related facebook status the other day and she commented asking why I hadnt visited her. I replied saying I didnt know she was working. Then she deleted her comment!!! So I text her saying 'where was MY visit Wink' and she just text back, completely different no kisses or anything, 'your work is furthur'. It was really weird. So I just left it. She's working today and she's acting normally, but I dunno if I should just ask her the fuck out or not. I'm not sure I want to with how weird she was acting, but I like her a lot. She's the stuff my boy hood dreams were made of. I think I'm putting far too much pressure on myself as I know when we were just old friends who hadnt seen eachother in ages I was completely cool, and now I'm an unfunny uncharming 'dont know what to say' mess!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh and this is her last shift. So it's now or never basically. Cheers lads.

I just joined the forum and i aint a PUA or anythin, but... i did get my NLP General Practitioner's certificate at the age of 15, and in my 26 years of life i had my share of experience with the opposite sex. So take in what you feel works and just ignore the rest. Anyways here is what i think of your situation.

First of all take a deep breath. There has been way to many IOIs.
She is in to you. And don't put yourself down thinking you blew your chance.
That will make you more desperate and lose focus.

To recap. Yes blowing her off once might have been a good idea depending on the situation, but remember cat string theory only works if you don't let go completely of the string. What you should have done after blowing her off that night is to do something really special and surprising the next morning.
The reason she deleted your comment i believe is because she thought you were full of sh*t. In the sense that she knew that you knew she was at work.

Tips: Girls don't like being lied to.
Next time you run out of things to say and think that its gona go south then you eject! Tell her u gota go do something. Remember that "you can not, not influence someone during a communication" so its better to leave a good impression and when you think your about to make a bad one then just leave.

So here is my solution. (What i would do in your shoes)

1.At the end of your shift surprise her by waiting for her outside her store, bring drinks (6pac or whatever it is you guys drink) cause i assume she drinks right? since she asked you out to drink once before. Tell her you want to take her some place. You can apologize a little for ignoring her the past days but don't over apologize! Remember your still the prize and she wants you. The key is to be spontaneous and unpredictable.

2.Isolate her. Don't take her to a bar or pub , since you already have drinks then go someplace quiet like a park or something. Use your imagination, bring out your romantic side through your action(not through words). The key here is to set the mood.

3. Let the alcohol sink in, just have fun. you should kiss close no problem.

Tips: Next time you run out of things to say try this.
A topic can only go three ways and you either:

1.Chunk up (Chunking up is when you generalize the subject and go into macro details. For example If your talking about planes you then start talking about airports.)

2.Chunk down (The opposite of chunking up and you go into more micro details.
For example if your talking about planes you then start talking about pilots.

3.Give Example (I like to visualize this as going sideways. If your having a good time talking about a female singer for example Britney Spears you could shift the conversation to Cristina Aguilera)

Find out what topics she responds well to and play around that topic, that should keep you plenty busy.

Hey bud thanks so much for taking the time to do that. Great read. I completely get your points but it's just the anxiety issue that I'm now getting whenever I speak to her. Anyway I've just seen her and I think I left a bad impression but it could just be me over thinking it. I think I'm just gonna go over there when she finishes in an hour and a half and ask her out. I've kind of got nothing to loose really.
