I'll say " You know I can tell allot about you just by the what number you guess between 1 and 10" tell her some truisms about herself then say because of those truisms you think that she picked 7. If she doesn't pick 7 then you can cover by telling her some more truisms about her like, "oh then you're someone who, likes to stand out, you're more of a free spirt." or "4? oh then I better quit talking to you, people that pick 4 are trouble" then false takeaway.

I have used ESP several times and I almost always get the answer right. I think it is because I say: "the first number that comes to your mind" in a commanding tone of voice. I look them deeply in the eyes to distract their thoughts a bit (at least I think eye contact can work like this) and usually get the number right. But if you don't it doesn't really matter. It's still fun.

hahaha i loved Eye-Z's variation of the typical ESP routine..
very creative man.. respect.

also iv tried the following variation myself a few times with some positive results:

ask her to pick a no. between 1-10 like usual then ask her "Is it prime?" if she says yes then guess 7 otherwise depending on the time she took to figure out whether or not it was guess either 2 or 9 [if it took a while for her to figure it out - i usually go with 2 as its much more common] or 6 [if she figured it out almost instantly as this much more commonly picked over 4 or 8].

btw this was inspired purely trough experimentation with various HBs as every time i ran the ESP routine i took a mental note of the commonly picked numbers other than 7

to give u a general idea of how effective this strategy is, it works about 80% of the time and the funny thing is its almost as effective as having picked the no. out of nowhere like in the typical version of the ESP routine (despite the fact that u asked for a clue. =P)

I just used this on aim and i guessed 6 but her number was 7 so play by the rules of the game and itll work.

Funny thing. I had actually never done the ESP-routine online before a couple of weeks ago. My experience is that it works when I do the routine verbally but whenever I write a message saying "Think of the first number that pops into your head between 1-10" I always get the number wrong.

I think the difference is that the girls see the numbers visually and this makes them guess in another way than they would when hearing the numbers aloud.

I just stop at 1 through 4. It's just enough to get
the message across, and you have a 25% chance
of getting it correct rather than a 10% chance.

If you get it wrong, say:

PUA: "Hmm...that's interesting."
HB: ?
PUA: "I once dated this girl that was intro astronomy and
she told me that you can tell a lot about a person by the
number that they choose."

almost all the time, she will say:
HB: Then what does my number mean?

PUA: *Describe her personality to the best of your ability
to make it seem like that shit works*

What I usually say, (works 100% of the time) is:

PUA: Well, (Number here) means that you are sometimes
a person that likes to keep to herself, and wants to get some
rest by herself. But it also means that you have a balance
between your social life and your interpersonal life.

(If you think about it, that pretty much describes all of us lol).

HB: Yeah, that's so cool!

And now, she forgot about you getting the number wrong, and
you can use that to go on into the next piece or whatever.

The next routine can be an opener to start another thread; personally,
I like to use the spells one, because the DHV routine and the opener
are somewhat related...both are pretty superstitious.
