It sounds way too simple to have to ask, but I'm socially retarded. Got invited to a frat party tonight, off campus at the house of someone I don't know. I don't want to be the only dick who knocks on the door instead of just coming in, especially if the music is loud and no one can hear me anyways. But I don't want people staring at me if I just walk in. Thoughts?

Just walk in. If anyone looks at you funny, hand them a beer & say,"looks like I got the right place this time!".

It seems like I never knock anymore....I could be going to a party at an old friends house, or even a new friends house I just walk in. But I got to admit some people don't like it. Once I walked into a bathroom at a party without knocking (cause appearantly that's just how things should be....I have no clue), and walked in on a dude getting his dick sucked. Chick bitched at me while I was laughing. I ended up giving her my number later on in the night and in her phone put my name down as "Kramer" off that guy from Seinfeld that never knocked.

So...all in all....I wouldn't knock just because this frat party isn't like going to your girlfriends parents house to meet the folks....it's casual. So stay casual. And if anyone gives you shit for it, just tell them get used to it, cause you treat every spot like it's your home....intended or not intended. It stays the same.
