anyone got any ideas how to sarge a girl who's listening to music through headphones? They can't hear the first thing you say and i get the feeling it would startle them to ask them to turn it off first. It would seem try-hard anyway as you wouldn't normally bother someone whos listening to music. I've had a couple of ideas but they're not tight enough really.

This is from the top of my head.

In that circumstance, I would make eye contact with her,make a serious face and then mouth out a few words pretending I was saying something important. Chances are she'll remove her earphones to hear what you're saying. Then, I'd continue mouthing words to her after her earphones were off. She'll most likely give some degree of positive response (although there will always be exceptions). Then I'd move into my regular game from there.

whats wrong with you people look if you go up to a girl while listening music she'll take off her headphones.

HB takes off her ear phones to hear what you said "huh?"

And thats all there is to it.
She'll take off her earphones because she's curious to what you said.

Maybe it's an AFC thing to think, but I figure a girl listening to music on headphones probably doesn't want to talk to me. Or anyone, for that matter. And I'm cool with that. Beauty is, after all, common. I just move on to a girl willing to give me 100% of her attention. She's not worth talking to if she'd rather be doing something else.

if you're a product designer you'd know that the great success of the ipod is how it was able to fill in on your loneliness in public space...with a DHV.. in fact the i pod is just another bitch shield

the object defines status and non neediness...you can be sure 85% of people listening to their ipod in public space are not listening to the music but focusing on their own thoughts and people around them...unless they're doing a specific activity, go and open...that's what she wants

i use ipod to screen people out when am hung over or just not in the mood....

Like monkey said, I believe its not a bitch sheild. I just believe they really want to not be bothered and listen to their music. You will have to do a mighty fine job if you manage to distract them from their music especially if it looks like they are getting deep into it.

Maybe you guys are right, because i'm just thinking about if it was me on my headphones i'd hate someone to bother me. But that's just what AFC mentality I got going for myself right now in the public realm.

There has been many a time when I opened a girl with her headphones on, and trust me most of the time they're easier to open than girls without headphones on.

this one is easy. pass her a note. i have an hour commute on the train every day to work and i do it all the time. the ipod gets stashed immediately and you are set to go. most people haven't been handed a note since middle school. let me know how it works out.

Dude... thats totally awesome. I wanna slide someone a note... I think that would be a good openner for day game on a bus or book store lol. I am not sure how it would work in a bar... I really wanna do that now. I like it sundance

I have no idea if this would work, but if i were in this scenario I would definitely give it a try.

so you see the HB with the ipod.

you walk up, and then take one of the headphones out of her ear, do not do this from behind! Then turn to her, and say something like

"You're tuning everyone out with this stuff?"

I do see a very good freak out rate in doing this, if anything it'd be a good laugh, I'm definitely trying this on the next HB i see with an ipod though.
