| Okay so this happened Fall semester 2010 and felt like sharing it, because it was sort of a turning point in my game. It was my first SNL that wasn't at a party. I've had several at parties before, and those are by far the easiest because 1) there is a lot of comfort already built because you know the same people and 2) you have both been drinking, and its just normal to hook up at parties. Making out at the bare minimum
I went on a trip with my class (my studio class in college) to present some projects down at another University in Texas. No, not UT. There were some cute girls in that program let me tell you, I got one of their numbers because we both had instant attraction but logistics wouldn't really work out because she had to work late that night. I remember they were all showing us around their campus, and she kept wanting to tell me about things herself rather than me listening to the guide. I kept brushing up against her body, definitely some sexual chemistry. Anyway, this town is fairly small, i'm guessing around 150,000 people, but it is absolutely saturated with college students just like my college town is. It's pure gold for night game because you don't run into a bunch of older women, they're all my age and slightly older.
I made friends with the foreign exchange student from South America who was in my studio class, he was pretty hilarious. His name was Javier, and he had a medium accent, so it wasn't too hard to understand him. What I noticed about him was that he liked to self amuse and didn't really give a damn. He was a little bit older than me at the time, I was 22 and he was 24. He was a bit quiet like me, but still flirty with girls. I knew he had to be a natural... but I have yet to see him in action...
We hit up the bars with some other students and have a great time. The bar scene was intense because there wasn't just bars like I am used to - there were a few clubs, thumpin music on Saturday night. We pre-drink at one bar with live music, slamming a few pitchers, buzzing and feeling good. I opened a few different 2-3 sets of girls to get my momentum going. Had some good laughs, I typically play it easy the first couple of approaches and wont even go for the number because i'm getting into the zone, warming up.
Javier and I decide to hop to the place next door and see what was poppin. We knew we were in the right place when we saw a dude on the ground surrounded by cops with blood all over his face and shirt. His shirt was covered in bright red blood, and it was all over the pavement as well. Apparently he was really drunk and got his ass kicked by some other dude who was being apprehended. The dude was so drunk that he was asking for another beer while he was being taken care of. We go inside this western themed club, where you have to pay a $5 cover. I like this place, the women who work there are cute! Daisy Dukes was the name. Javier is paying for his entry while I stand beside him. Right after he pays, the hot blonde in short shorts and cowboy boots looks up and doesn't look at me but rather the peopel behind us. I say what the hell, and continue walking.
Javier and I get a couple of cheap domestic beers and walk around to get a feel. I'm saying hi to some girls, seeing how they react, and have a few chats around the bar area while we sit on stools. There was a center dancefloor with a giant screen with crazy lights and smoke, loud thumping rap music with heavy bass, and then people walking and standing on 3 sides of the dancefloor with a second balcony level above. I have probably had around 5 beers in the past hour and a half, included a shot or two to celebrate. I knew Javier was a natural at this point because he says the words that I LOVE to hear when i'm with a guy,
"lets go meet girls!"
I get blown out several times in a row, and am really feeling the alcohol by this point. I open a really cute girl who is sitting with her friend, and she's somewhat into me, but her friend immediately says "go away, she's not available" so I figured maybe they are dating?, I felt like it was very rude so I go up to the cockblock and put my hand out introducting myself, saying it "was" nice to meet you, and she shakes my hand and says "sorry she has a boyfriend" and I say that's okay.
But this is where the real fun begins... Javier and I decide to hit up the dancefloor. This club alternates from popular rap/hiphop music, pop, and country music. There was some hip hop on and me and Javier quickly get into state by dancing like goofballs and going up behind girls and dancing with them, the first set only lasted 30 seconds or so before they leave to dance somewhere else. Approaching and getting blown out on the dancefloor is nothing, because you don't say one word, it's all physical and body language is very universal. You have to feel the music and be having a good time, not necessarily be a good dancer, but it definitely helps to have a good rhythem.
This is when we spot them. Javier, being the natural that he is, goes up this girl who is with her friend and starts dancing with her. Her friend kind of looks at me, so I walk up to her and start dancing with her. The song changes to some goofy country song and this is where we're supposed to run around in giant circles with our partner, sort of in a hopping fashion. It was difficult, but we exchanged a few words during this time and I found out she was a graduate student at the Uni, and i told her I was visiting with my class. She was quite short, around 5'2 or so, had blonde hair, and was definitely bangable. Slightly nerdy and I could tell she was smart.
After about 10 minutes from meeting them, we were bouncing out of the club because it was already 1am, and we were drunk. Us 4 were having a blast because Javier and I were being goofy as hell. Once we get a breathe of the fresh air outside (the club was dense and moist), I handle logistics. I tell them we're visiting and have a hotel room just a few blocks away. One of the girls drove, so we talk to the car and go to the hotel. They were hungry, so we stopped at the Dennys right next to the hotel and grabbed a quick bite. Then we cross the street to the hotel room that Javier and I shared, and it was dark. We all enter and you immeditely hear kissing and sucking sounds..
Why was this a turning point in my game? I realized how easy it is to pull the girl that night. I know we had the tourist mentality, where its much easier to get laid when you are just visiting some place... but still, it was my first pull from a bar or club that night. All you have to do is plow. When I ask asking about logistics, they seemed hesitant at first, but I insisted that they come hang out with us and "meet our friends", but it was very obvious what was going to happen.
