This smoking hot girl I work with is addicted to tanning. Typically I hate people who tan anywhere but outdoors, but it does look good on her. She already knows I think tanning is stupid, but when I saw her yesterday I noticed she hadn't tanned in a while.

Me: Did you stop tanning? You look much whiter today.
Her: Oh man! Do I look pale? Yeah I stopped going. I'll go back tomorrow.

Geeeez.. I had no idea it would work so well. I learned that, despite having exterior confidence from everyone always telling her how gorgeous/hot she is, she's really quite insecure about her looks when you point out a deficiency. I read her response as a brief qualification toward me. Even though she may not be attracted to me, she had to come up with some sort of solution to my pointing out her lighter skin.

Just because she's insecure about her looks doesn't mean you get the girl. I'd be careful with negs. And I'd be careful with overly insecure women for that matter.
