I just joined okcupid and plenty of fish, using a method from another site, it's going surprisingly well.

Lets assume she's online.

Is it better to message or instant message her (on the site)?

I was just curious, I've read countless online gaming methods, and noone ever addresses this.

Never did try POF or OKCupid. But did you try your luck on Facebook or MyYearBook?

I dabbled a bit on facebook, but the whole reason I'm doing online is to find new women, not game the same old women.

I do plan to test some of these cold approach facebook methods though. I don't know anyone on that other site.

If you are younger (like 18-25 range), I'd wager all that IM'ing is cool.

I have come across tons of profiles where they specifically say 'take the time to write me a message - don't IM me'

if you choose to disobey, well, that's another story altogether...;)
