ok so recently i have been learning some basic yet impressive card tricks but before i field test them i was thinking if they say "why do you carry cards around?" whats the best answer?

Ok I'm being a dick. Sorry, I just think it's a bad idea to be doing magic tricks to impress women, it just tells them that you don't have confidence in your personality so you use tricks to make up for it. Just don't do it, it's weird.

Me and the guys were talking about this exact thing the other day! They have some awesome mentalist tricks, and you can see the attraction jump... I don't do it, because I'm not good enough, but I personally think it is a fun thing to have in your back pocket for that point when the conversation sticks...

Anyway, the three response we came up with were:
Them: Why do you have cards?

You: Because I'm awesome...
And carry on!

You: *Look at them funny, like that are not the brightest girls, and have asked you a really stupid question* To do card tricks?!
And carry on!

Or even further...
"OK, lets try this without the cards shall we?! Pick a card... OH WAIT! You can't! Pleb... right, lets try again..."
And carry on!

The guys said, usually nobody asks... Just be good enough to impress them!

Cards tricks aren't that great.
I mean if you happen to be around cards then do some causally.
But, in my experience, people just try to figure out the trick so they can call you out.
"Oh you just whatevered, I saw that!"

And a lot of your dumber girls will be impressed
But there is always someone in the crowd that will be a dick.

If you want to do magic, find some more expensive tricks.
Ellusionist.com has some.
I personally like magic, and I think mentalism tricks are the most impressive.
If you do something they can't figure out, good, if not, bad.
Very bad.

I happen to have my back pack with me everywhere I go. in it contains ALOT of random items. one of them being a pack of cards. people often ask me why I carry shit around, and I just say "it doesn't hurt to be prepared".

when it comes to cards you could always say "you ever been to a party and someone wants to play a drinking game, but no one has any cards?"
