I've just been introduced to the whole PUA world by a friend and started reading about some of the methods used. I was first a non-believer saying these methods sounded sometimes borderline cheesy like the rest of the world was taught that you need be as nice as possible to women all the time and they would like you back because you were a GENUINE guy. Women would never fall for this stuff right? Boy was I wrong.

I would consider myself an above average looking guy and have been told that I'm a very outgoing and socialable guy. In school when I had my social circles it wasn't hard getting girls to be attracted to me. I felt like an alpha and it showed. But that was in my comfort zone.

I'm now graduated college, I have a good career and have moved on from several of my old social groups(outgrew their maturity level) and formed new ones with colleagues and the closest of my old friends who aren't stuck reliving old glories of their high school days.

However now we're hitting up clubs and bars and this is a whole new game to me with women. This is way out of my comfort zone. Before I never felt judged by my own social groups and the girls within them, now I can't help but feel judged. Especially after getting the "who is this weirdo" look from girls when I would just walk up and ask "Hi how's it going?" It feels like the first day of kindergarten.

Anyways my life story cut short...I've tried some of the methods I've read on here and other sites and have had some success to an extent. I still haven't kicked out that over anxious super hopeless romantic nice guy that all the girls fawn over in movies but never really want in real life.

I hope to absorb as much as I can from everyone else and share if I have anything of value to add.
