First post so please go easy!

So recently got shotdown going for a number over FB, story goes -

I know this barmaid briefly through a friend, only met her on a few passing occasions but recently decided to have a crack at her. Speaking to her on FB i'd mentioned i'd be in the bar later that night. Once there i got a chat with her which went really well IMO, getting plenty IOI's ..following that my friend had also mentioned that she was always looking over at me as well whilst we were sitting having our beer. During the chat we spoke of her pole-dancing (fitness class!) in which i used to tease her about it requireing alot of strength considering shes only little etc which got a good reaction.. next day i private FB messaged -

Hi! Hope your shift wasn't too stressful! I tried to shout bye to you last night before i left but you were busy ignoring me for a better looking customer so i didn't wanna disturb you! :p I think you should give me your number so we can talk more about this interesting new pole move!...I'd have asked last night but i was too shy.. intimidated by those good looking customers you were serving :) xx

- now be aware that the customers im referring to here where old men in their 60's lol. Anyway just looking for any input on the next step...her reply was-

you can't talk about pole moves, you need to come to class and try them. get yourself booked in if you're really interested love. its an art as well as a skill :) x

Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers.

You put way too many thoughts in your message, it comes off as a little desperate. Those thoughts should be broken up into separate messages. Notice that you wrote three lines and she replied with one. If you're going to ask for a number online, it would be best to use instant chat and strike up a normal conversation, in your situation maybe about those old men or her pole dancing. It helps her remember the previous night. Then tell her you have to go and say that you should continue this over text, you don't even need to ask for the number, its easy! Now for this girl you might just go back to the bar and ask for her number, because it seems like she is still interested. Good Luck, tell us how it goes!

Self depracation when used over and over is a major DLV.

You might have blown it.
