I was pretty direct with texting; when I first said I wanted to meet up with her for a drink, she gave some token resistance from ASD with something like "How about we meet for coffee instead?" I replied with a simple "No, that's boring." Hey, I was just being honest. She replied with compliance and we met up at a bar that night.
