Pink - it is a little bit creepy, but mainly from girls perspective and it really depends on the context prior to getting her in your lap. If you just meet a girl and she is curious about you enough to TEST you (thats always what it is). then pitching a tent under her is a definate FAILURE of the test.
However, if you've been gaming her for a while and the igloo is starting to melt feeling an attent soldier against her backside will be an "It's ON" signal to HER. If everything you did was right up until then, she may be the one to pull YOU into a bathroom.
The secret is to guage how warmed up she is to you. HOT would be a boner green light, warm would be yellow and cold would be red. Just do what you can to hide/suppress it in the appropriate situation, or flaunt it on a green light. (good segway into sexy whispers in her ear to amp up the pressure for a quick hookup.

If that is what they say to you, I don't see the problem. You've already got an "its on" signal. You next move is to amp sexual tension by teasing her physically until she makes the move, or just be bold/smooth and invite her to a private place.
