ME:Let me say this ... you are beautiful, BUT beauty is so common in our world. I have meet many beautiful women who were only about their looks and had nothing else offer. What I have found to be truly special is... a good outlook and good energy. I want to see what you are really about. I am hoping that you have something going for you more than your looks.

HB8:haha trust me I don't try to get by just on my looks. There is a lot more important things than that.

ME:Really..., my x gf said the same thing, but ... she was just all talk though. What is important to you than?

HB8:I think it's more important to have a good personality. It doesn't matter how pretty you are if you have an ugly heart you're gonna be an ugly person. I try to work more on my morals and standards and the way I treat people other than on my looks.

ME:That is so... true. It really is a breath of fresh air to see someone like you who actually cares about standards, morals, and other people. You know ... you and me; we would never work out ... We are both to similar. I can barely get along with myself if I am in a room too long.

HB8:I don't like to ever think that my looks are the best thing about me, I disagree with beauty being common. I hate when people say they can't understand why I'm single BECAUSE i'm beautiful, there is so much more to a person than their looks even if it is the first thing a person notices and the first thing a person uses to judge another. So in a way we are all superficial, there are just those of us who recognize it and can push it aside.

HB8::/ I was a psychology major for a few years, I know some shit about superficiality.

ME:I should of known by the you last message, and hey comparing you to my x was a good thing not a bad thing. She actually ended up going to Columbia. Well it seems your years of college paid off. How many years were you in college?

You need to fix your spelling. A lot of girls will ding you just for your spelling mistakes. They are in all of your messages and it is really obnoxious. And 3 smiley faces in one message is pushing it...

If nothing else, put extra emphasis on this. This guy's right.

Approach women online the way you would approach them in reality. Cut down on your smileys and for God's sake, man just spell check yourself.

Thank you for the information, and I am having one problem though. How do you make something sarcastic online? I am a very sarcastic person, and I meant the comment "I didn't ask for your life story" as a joke that was not to be taken seriously. How do you suggest I go about making it obvious my statements are sarcastic?

You don't. It entirely depends on her sense of humour. You could try ";)" but too many ";)" will be seen as desperate or too easy.

Hey gang, new to this site. Hello. I wanted to comment on this topic. I have Match POF and Datehookup on my Iphone its all very entertaining. I can't state enough about proper grammar and spelling. It gets on my nerves when I see a typo in a chicks profile. Anyway, when I get new messages they come to my phone and it alerts me when I have a message or wink. I normally take anywhere from 10 minutes to 6 hours to reply. Im gonna try something a little different. Even though its very convenient on my Iphone, Ill just try logging in 2 maybe 3 times a week and reply and search around for women. The sites always keep track of your activity---"Online the last 24 Hours" "Online Yesterday" "Within 1 week" and so on. Any thoughts??
