i was hanging out with a group of students at my college orientation and i kept on getting attention from some of the girls at least the ones that werent shy. Anyway this really cute girl that i kept eyeing( she was one of the shy ones) opened up to me after i related to her in a story(i made her laugh) she shared about her personal life. she gave me a compliment on my watch and i respponded naturally by saying "thanks ...thats why i wore it" in a playful way, however she kind of jus stopped talking to me after that. i ended up making up for it the next day but i would like some tips on how to respond to compliments better and also how to build a conversation off of that

If you know MM (and I know Chief and Ryan are gonna give me smack about this, but damn it the man has good points!) But if you know of Bait, Hook, Reel, and Release, you can sort of use this as the hook. Next you reel, "Oh, thank you, we have a really similar style sense, like we are totally alike! I can't even talk to you anymore." Annnnd divert attention. Then when she reintiates you continue.
