Ok so about a month and a half ago i met this girl on a social networking site. I opened the conversation as she posted a status saying she wished more guys would be interesting to talk to and be with. I went for it and we really hit it off, she gave me her number after talking abit and weve been texting nonstop ever since. I always managed to end the conversations at a high point, I let her initiate and do the chasing, every once in awhile id send a text her way just so she thought I didnt lose interest in her, well then we began to talk about meeting up. She spoke about how she wanted to kiss me and be with me and I told her Id drive the three hours to see her. So at this point everything was going well. Until a new guy comes into the picture about a two weeks ago, he started sweet talking her and now i find out she has more feelings for him then she does for me, and they are meeting up as well. I really like this girl, so I guess my question is what should I do? I thought I played my cards right but maybe I waited a bit too long. Should I just stop talking and instill a fear of loss so im not thrown into the friend zone as she goes for this guy? Or should i try to make her see that I'm a better choice?

The first option seems fine.

As it seems, you took your time and some other guy didn't. If she really is going to come back, your absence is a good trick to confuse her.

Also, there's a common sense in sitting back and letting the disaster happen.
