KIND OF LONG BUT IT HAS A PRETTY COOL POINT
So there is this girl i met in manhattan a couple months ago. I asked her for her contacts and she gave them to me. But we didn't really go out because i live in philly and i didn't wanna have a long distance relationship. So since i'm moving back to new york i hit her up to hang out for a date and she said yes.Long think that she wanted to go out. Then she told me she fell aslpeep and that i sjohuld come and hang. I went to her place and made a date the next day. I texted her to go out and no response until night when she said she had friends over all day. So my last day was the next day. She said we can go for breakfast she said yeah, I texted her and she didn't respond until i was leaving to philly. I told her all i wanted was to get to know her and see if we can take this somewhere else. She said to hit her up next time i'm in new york. I think she is sincere but likes to play hard to get. My plan is to say i'm in the city and tell her we should go on some crazy adventures and bail on her an hour before. Just to idk show that i'm not needy.
What should I do? What do you guys think she's actually doing?!? How should I talk to her and try and get her to go out with me? My plan is to during the fall semester send her flowers saying "even though i'm busy with work and school, you still come to mind"

Right now, based on what I read, you give the feel of a typical romantic little AFC.

A text message along the lines of "Hey babe, you came into my mind today. Let's hang out." would go a longer way than flowers and AFC messages going with it for a girl you barely know.

Please do not do this. This is very self-destructive mentally. A secure person would never do this. Make your plans, and stick to them. Let other people play these phony games with each other, and know that you are better than that. I know you are.

Now, when you move to New York, of course you can re-initiate contact and see how it goes. For now, just let it be.
