I number closed this HB8 on the way into work this morning on the train. We had talked for around 10 minutes and the conversation had gone fairly well. I text her a few hours later and this is the exchange we had.

Me: Nice meeting u earlier, I’m …….
Got u saved in my phone as ………(funny nickname)

HB: Mate, Sarah’s taken (obviously her name is Sarah)

At this point I don’t know whether this is a shit test or not, so I think forget it, I’m not going to play any games and text back:

Me: Plenty more fish in the sea!

There has been no reply, unsurprisingly.

Was this actually a shit test, I’m sure she wouldn’t have given me her bf’s phone????
If so, what would have been the best way to respond to it?

If I have fu**ed up, is there any way to rescue the situation by texting her back? I doubt there is but as she’s a HB8 I’d be willing to give it a go lol!
