If you haven't heard by now, serena williams nearly died from a pedicure. The idiot who was doing it cut her toe and she got blood clots or something. Fortunately she's fully recovered.

Luckily for me, i've just got one of the best openners from this. Just tested a few minutes ago.

Ask if she has pedicures, right out of the blue.

If she says yes, say "OMG your life is at risk"
if she say no, say "Well done, you're one the clever ones"

Then tell her about the whole serena thing. Just give her all the facts and joke around it and try to get different directions from it. E.g: Wow you're horrible, I can't believe you're laughing at her near death experience or I was actually convinced to get a manicure, it's a good thing I saw this before I went, can you imgaine i could have died
