In the way of apps helping, Yes! I found a post for a Tic-Tac-Toe opener on Venusian Arts. It can be totally non-verbal. The example give is on a train with HB sitting next to you with head phones in.
It really simple set-up, just pull out your phone with a free drawing app on it, draw out the board and bump her to get her attention.
Look at her, look a your phone, show her and smile.

I like things like this as its fun, easy and grabs attention. Plus the notes page is a good back-up cheat sheet if you want some lines in reserve and a lot more discrete than opening an app
