I'm 20 year's old and I went on a date tonight with a 28 year old girl, she approached me last weekend and showed interest, we were at an expo together and we ended up meeting up at a bar after which I invited her too as all the exhibitors were getting free drinks there. We went on a date this evening which I thought was going very well until I told I was 20 and she seemed to back off a bit yet still stayed for an hour after so I'm stuck. I really like her which is rare for me and we seem to have alot in common, plus she's an 8 or a 9.... how do I play it from here? _________________ Jebz

I haven't had experience with 8 years difference, but I had a girl once who was 5 years older than me. I didn't bring anything up, and she mentioned it a couple times the first date or two. But the thing is to assure her that it's maturity more than age that counts. Then go forth and prove that. Just act what may seem overly mature for whatever scene you're in, and it'll probably not even cross her mind again. I cannot stress enough, the main idea is to not call attention to it, or treat her any differently because of the age difference. If she starts calling you a kid or something, just refer to a couple times as 'grandma', and she'll shut up pretty quickly.
