A Sudden Urge

I know i have eff'd this one up before i discovered PUA & The game. Having read neil strauss's book the game and discovered the PUA community, i have suddenly felt the urge to revisit the past and hopefully get her to be more than just friends, as she is a lovely girl. I know all my flaws on the way i approached the situation and it still annoys me to this day.

Background To The Problem

About three years ago i started talking to this girl on the internet (for hours at a time) and by text message. As time went by, i finally plucked up the courage to ask her if she wanted to meet up for a few drinks, to which she obliged. During this time, i developed the unfortunate condition called one-itis :(

Looking back on when i met her, it has become aparant to me now that i was acting like a total AFC (to which i still am, but i am slowly learning the ropes ). I was nervous when i met her and didnt feel like i had much to say etc etc. Despite this, i felt she was still texting me (initiating texts, not just replying) and nothing was affected.

All Downhill From Here

One night, after indulging in too much satans brew, i was on instant message and i was yet again talking to her - This time though, i did the shameful deed. I told her straight that i liked her, she couldnt believe it and was like 'well i like you too blah blah', but i knew she meant as a friend. So i then said 'i like you.... more than friends', to which she replied to me with the old dissapointed face (:|). Me being me, not knowing when to stop, I said whats wrong, i hope this hasnt deterred you from meeting up again and then she said it did as she now feels uncomfortable. (which looking back, if i were a girl i probably would ). She still see's me as a friend though, which may be a problem.

Never the same again

After my confession she stopped initiating texts/instant messages and took longer to reply to my texts/instant messages. I have seen her a few times in our town, where she has walked up to me and said hello. The convo's soon got stale and ended - a particular instance not that long ago.
(oh... and stupidly i confronted her about the issue, exactly like an AFC would).

The Present Day

She resides on my facebook, i give her status comments now and again (when she has something interesting to post) to which she nearly always replies. I think we would mutually agree that i totally eff'd up, but i suppose it happens to the best of us... right?

I am still a virgin, the one-itis has gone and i feel i am able to have another go, but i was just wondering what you guys think from a PUA point of view. I know it will be a shame to drop her but if i try again, i know it will require some doing.

p.s. i apologise for the lengthy post.

Thankyou
Technophobe

Okay, step one, ignore her for a minimum of six months (or longer. She needs to forget you.)!

That means:
No communication in anyway.
No Facebook.
No Texting.

After six months, if you see her Facebook status saying she's going to get coffee at blah blah blah run to blah blah blah and find her and pretend to bump in to her. Then, play the game.

______

What you should have done is, as soon as she did the disappointed face, ignored her (You've read the game; you know ignoring her is a sort of punishment).

I mean I personally would call it day and move on.

Scientifically, it takes 18 months of zero communication to not love them anymore.

I suggest you don't take online game too seriously. Seeing it as an practice field, try bizarre stuffs that you don't have the balls to do it in real life. I've been testing water with online gaming for about half a year now, I noticed the trend that most girls have online profile for validation purpose, meaning they have some issues that are affecting their self-esteem and thus they're seeking validation from people to reassure it.
These particular girls do show IOIs at points, either to keep you on the hook or simply they do have some degree of interest in you. However, most of them aren't ready for face-to-face meeting or connection. I usually just next those that tend to waste my time for email tagging.

I can testify to the ''Disappearing Act Approach''. Just totally disappear from her life and your common social circles. You'll be shocked how much it affects people when you see them after a prolonged period of time. It's like working on an (almost) clean slate.
