ok so i have 2 scenarios..

im at school and this beauty(9) struts by and makes eye contact. im a total noob so im still internalizing the game so to speak, so i just had no fucking idea what to do... it seems weird to be to randomly stop a girl whose walking by and be like "hey who cheats more guys or girls?" or do another similar opener...

so i guess my question is, how should that situation have been handled?

You're right - using that opener with a random stranger walking by would be a little weird. It sounds to me like what you need to do is root your opener first. if your at school then it could be tricky to game a girl if u have a bad rep.
so alot can depend on that .. anyway if u feel confident in openin then try walkin slightly past her and openin her will lookin at her over your sholder slightly... look at her smile then say 'hey, u stricke me as the sort of person to play dungoens and dragons!' ( basically open her with a neg).
