I met an HB 8 on Thursday. I think I ran fairly good game I built social proof in the room and won her friends over. After that I could see the way she was looking at me and knew she was into me. I then built some comfort and had some jokes but perhaps did not qualify. I K-closed and was close to getting her home but she was out with male friends and I think she was embarassed not to get their taxi home. She gave me her number and was insistent on me calling.

I sent a text that night and she responded in 5 minutes to my callback humour. I thought I was in and the next day we exchanged a few more texts and then asked I her if she wanted to grab a drink in town the next day. She said no because she was busy that night and nothing more. Now I know I might not have qualified her enough and she might see me as cool but perhaps sleazy or a player. Where do I go from here? I know it's important to know when to say neeeeext, but sometimes I think persistence pays off too. Any ideas on how I can turn round the situation?

Persistance definately pays off. Don't worry about it, try again soon. When you do ask her out try calling her instead. It's easier for her to reject you over text, because afterwards if you say nothing it doesn't matter. When you call her and ask her though you can make her feel awkward and forced to respond and suggest another date:

You: (ask her out)
Her: No sorry I'm busy tonight
You: (stay silent or just say "right...")
Her: But I could meet you on X night if you like?

It's even better face to face. When going for stuff like this always use the method that creates the most tension.

Maybe she was busy? She doesn't have to tell you why.

I would give her one more chance and if nothing, next her. If a girls hot (8+) I give them two chances unless they have some crazy good excuse like "my grandma is in the hospital n I have to see her". You aren't going to lower your worth or anything by inviting her somewhere one more time. More than that with her responding "no im busy", will come off as a lil desperate. All in all, give her one more chance, n if she isn't into it next her....unless she hits u up n asks u to do something...if that happens "check your schedule" n "get back to her". You feel me?
