Picked up a HB at Barnes & Noble earlier (my new go-to). Sat down next to her, opened and talked for a while. Number closed, had awesome rapport, definitely think she won't flake. Now, usually I have a pretty set date routine. Go to an upscale sports bar and limit it to an hour or two with a false time constraint for the first date, then for the second put on a show with a few different places for time distortion and to demonstrate various qualities. It's brought me solid success thus far. My issue is that when I was picking her up today, we ended up talking and chatting at the bookstore for about an hour about a variety of things; pretty much the conversation that we would be having on the first date if I had only spoken to her for a few minutes. So, when I meet up with her again, would doing the one hour date be a bit redundant, or can I skip straight to the 2nd date routine? Or just play it by ear?

If I were you, I would almost never do that first one hour date. You'r second date with multiple places should always be you're first date.
The only time I ever meet up with girls for a quick one hour date like that is if a lot of time has passed between when I first met her and when we can finally arrange to go on a date and she doesn't comfortable enough yet to go on the real date.

My usual strategy has been to have the first date around 7:00, then go to a second date around 9:00. But if I could skip the first it might work better.
