Hey Guys,

First time poster so hopefully I won't get flamed but so bad. I was hoping you could critique me on how I did. Lately I have been out of it. Tonight was unprepared, cold, and unexpected after work. I decided to go for the bartender. Here is my report:

Opened the bartender at a popular bar here in Orlando. She seemed flirtatious, I figured it was because she was the barkeep but what could it hurt? I build rapport with the "Did you know The average girl by the age of 20 is hit on 3000 times" pattern. I asked what the best pick up was that she's got from a guy. She said nothing good (hoping she would say one, I would then use it. But she didn't so I had to wing it). She said the best she's got was a solid tip and his number gets a chance. I made fun of her for that, meanwhile thinking about how terrible that answer was. Game on. I waited to close out my tab before I went for the number close. I closed with "I enjoyed our conversation, what steps can we take to make it happen again?" she responded, "I work tomorrow". I admittedly lost my cool and shouted "Thats it!?". She smiled and helped the next customer.

What could I do different next time besides be on my game and be prepared?
