| I went out with my brother while HB8 went to her sorority formal. The original plan was for her to meet me somewhere since I dont know my way around. Here's the text convo throughout the night:
11:28 P.M. HB8: Hey what are you guys up to? We are trying to find a party or something because we have alcohol and arent really feeling spending money at the bar
(12 minutes later) Sky: Brother is taking a shower now and then we're going to Local Bar for this girls 21st
(1 minute later) HB8: oh ok. I'll let you know where I end up.
12:18 A.M. Sky: Sounds good
Now at this point, I feel like Im in great shape. While I am out with other people having fun, I've got HB8 in compliance with my plans, and seems like shes DTF and its all coming together.
12:22 A.M. HB8: I wont biggest flirt for our superlatives at formal.
--does this have any significance, or is she just wanting to keep talking to me (I thought the 2nd, and tried to advance it)
(17 minutes later) Sky: Congrats haha--Local Bar is off to a slow start, I'm always down to grab some food, bring some alc over and watch a movie
--Yes I tried to swing for the fences through text, definitely not the smartest idea, but hey, fuck it.
1:18 A.M. HB8: oh ok Im at a party in (some random fucking place, geez UMD is huge)
(32 minutes later) Sky: Lol wheres that
(8 minutes later) HB8: By (some other random place)
**I probably shouldve teased her about telling me where she was, we both knew I had no fucking clue where anything was
--Now we get interesting
2:04 A.M. Sky: If there's a spot by Local Bar to meet you I can find it
**Patience is a virtue
2:50 A.M. HB8: I wanna stay with you tonight (PLUS phone call seeing where I was)
(7 minutes later) Sky: definitely. come over
(6 minutes later) HB8: kk can we meet at (pizza place) in 20?
(1 minute later) Sky: yeah
And here is where things start to go horribly wrong.
Let me just say that while out at the girl's 21st, her best friend was showing me all kinds of IOIs. Hand holding, always finding herself near me to dance, smiling at me, lots of eye contact, and she was pretty cute. You know how you can just tell some girls wouldnt have sex with you the first night? Shes one of them. But neverthless, every indication that I could have hooked up with this girl and ditched plans with HB8 was totally possible.
The group had all started walking home together, with her and I doing some hand holding, some playful banter, and having a good time. I could tell she was waiting on me to setup logistics, to take the next step.
LESSON LEARNED: As the man, it is attractive to lead through the interaction. Be confident about it, and she follows your frame. Its that simple. Make a move when you feel bold, and show it off. Dont be an asshole, but be confident.
So when we all get back to the apt, I dont setup logistics with HBBestFriend because I am waiting for HB8.
And. here. we. go.
My brother says that I cannot take his ID and keys to go meet her since he has to go to bed and doesnt believe that me going to pick up this girl "just to get ass" makes sense (I suppose this is what happens to a man when he has a girlfriend, he severely underestimates how much fun it is getting laid). So he tells me I have 15 minutes to get her back to the apt.
I start walking off, call her and tell her to meet me now cause my logistics are being blown up. She tells me to meet her at her place, cause now she is dealing with some drama. I actually find her house, get there, and we meet up. She walks up to the house, literally walks right past me. Oh fuck.
There are tears in HB8's eyes. She's been crying. She looks disheveled, and not as good in a short dress as I thought she would. We go inside, and she tells me she has to make a phone call to her best friend (she apparently messed things up with him, oh fuck). I tell her to make the call while we walk back to my place, and she says she cant. So she goes outside to make the call.
I go outside 2 minutes later, because now my brother has called and says he wants me back now. She is on the phone, this is basically what I hear...
"I messed things up with him, he said he hates me and he has never said he hates me. I yelled at him and his cousin told me to calm down so I started yelling at him. I cant deal with him hating me."
...RED FLAGS MOTHAFUCKAA. HB8 is drunk, sad, and complaining to her sister about what a drunk mess she is. This is not good. So I tell her Im going, say text me tomorrow, she nods, and I walk off. Frustrated. Not getting laid. And shocked.
It is now the next day, and I have no idea what to do with all this. D1 I thought this girl was awesome. D2 she reveals she can be a drunk mess. As awesome of a lay as Im sure she is, I just do not know how to proceed with this situation. Im here for 1 more night, and I could meet her for a quick lunch or something, but do I really have to continue to give her chances? Should I just wait for her to text me? What the hell? LOL
