tie and scarf do they go together?

i will be wearing a shirt and then a jacket on top now i was wondering if wearing a tie and scarf is too much??

I agree. Pick one or the other. If the occasion is formal, go with the tie; if it's a more casual environment, pick the scarf.

It's perfectly fine, if you've got enough style to pull it off. Wear it with a suit (no slacks + jacket), just hang the scarf around your neck without tying it.

thats too many things around the neck its just gonna be overkill and bulk your neck up too much, i agree with previous poster if you are gonna wear both dont knot the scarf
