I met this girl on saturday night in a bar, got on great, she asked to meet up in the next few days. So I thought, bonus, she's doing some of the work here.

So she was all up for going for a drink in one of the bars in town, and still is but her enthusiasm has dwindled a little (or so it feels) and she is now talking about driving to the bar, ensuring she cannot drink a drop. Now, im not saying I want to get her battered or that this is some sort of calamity, but I would like some thoughts on why some people think a girl may choose to do this.

This has happened to me before, when another girl wanted to meet up a few times, but would only commit her worst "scraps" of spare time. Sunday afternoon cup of tea or last minutes when she had been cancelled on.

Is this some sort of defence? A Flake? Or is it dis-interest?

It seems to me she really like you but before she commits herself to anything she wants to know whether her sober self can be as attracted and compatible with you.

Just make sure your game is shit hot with her and appeal to her personality eg: Party girl = Lots of C&F, Librarian = Lots of Comfort building and emotional connection, mix = balance both

Get her out first and worry about her any of that later. She doesn't know you, maybe she will just feel more comfortable having an escape route.

You can always take her to pick up her car in the morning?
