She agreed. Today she (out of nowhere), says "so how old r u", I respond that I'm 23, "wbu", and she sends back "24". I follow up with "I could make some comment about you being a cougar or something but I'll skip that haha. What r u up to?

Was that inappropriate for me to say that? It seems to me girls usually want a guy a couple or few years older. I was just trying to get the whole, "yeah I'm younger" thing out of the way up front.

It's no big deal, don't make it into one. Trust me, I'm 20 years old, and I've shagged 29 and 30 year old women. An age gap of one year is nothing. Definitely agree that you should of told her your age and then just moved the convo on without asking back. Good advice.

As for the cougar comment, it's not disastrous but I would probably leave comments like that, especially by text - girls misjudge these comments often enough IRL nevermind remotely!
