I go to a lot of gigs on my own becuase most of my friends dont like my music and as I am quite open I always get chatting to people.

My sticking point is I never know what to say when a girl asks me who Im there with. Any thoughts?

Surely my answer of 'just on my own' demonstrates lower value? Or is this just my way of thinking? Because I really dont mind being there on my own. Infact Id probably rather be there on my own becuase it kind of forces me to speak to loads of people which I know wouldnt happen if I was there with friends.

Oh, I had a gig here, so I stuck around a little longer because of all the interesting people. I love meeting new people. -or something like that??

You : On my own, I was supposed to be taking my friend out but she had to fly out to
[somewhere glamourous] for a photo shoot.

HB: Is she a model?

You: No not any more, she's a photographer, Iwas going to fly out myself but I have that much happening this week I just don't have time and plus a friend of mine wanted me to have a look at the band to see if they are commercial material.

If it's a big place, just tell them that your friends are wandering around somewhere.

Maybe when you get to the place, you could open a group of guys and get their names. It's probable that you'll come across them again at some point, so if you're in a 2 set or more, you can introduce them to the guys you just met earlier. Raises your social proof with the girls and the guys. The guys will definitely appreciate it and will probably want to hang out again.
