So I just started using POF, finished my profile and sent about 20 messages out. I got two messages back gave them my number and both texted me this morning. I could care less about what to do with the girls that texted me what I would like some criticism on is my profile.

I never do online gaming so some community help would be nice. The link is http://www.plentyoffish.com/viewprofile ... d=25518393

Also what is a good rate of feedback.
if 100 messages sent what's a good rate to get back

Message rate varies. I sent out 24 yesterday and received 22 back. Sometimes I'll send 10 and only get 3.

I would get rid of your second picture. Nearly every guy on POF that girls associate as "losers" are shirtless.

I would add more humour into your profile.

This is my about me section:

I’m not exactly your every day average chris, I’m an egotistical son of a **** who likes things my way. I would say that my life is like a Katy Perry album, I’m one of the boys, I’m pretty sure I’ve kissed a girl, I’ve woken up in Vegas (with a huge hangover and a lion in my bathroom), I’m hot and cold (hey, sometimes it’s just absolutely freezing), California girls are indeed undeniable and sometimes I’m a little gay.

It's hugely important that you don't reveal everything about yourself from the get go. You need some mystery. So, I write my profile with banter and it's extremely attractive to women.

My First Date:

It'll be magical. I'll take you to Mcdonalds drive thru and you can buy me a happy meal, you can have anything you want, it's your bloody money ;) Then you can drop me off to my mates and I'll go on guitar hero with you just to show you up. I'm a old fashioned romantic ;)

As you can see, not being serious. I haven't really revealed anything about myself and that is why girls ask me a lot of questions. This allows me to build a connection with her and meet her in the real world.

Hey PapaWolf, I like the middle part of your bio (cartoons/SPAM).

Oddly enough I found SPAM to be one of my best wingmen while I'm in the early stages of this pua stuff. One time I texted a HB the monday after I met her at a bar, when she asked 'whos this?' I said 'SPAM' and we role played with it for a little while--she was totally digging it. Sadly once I transistioned to the real me (pretty AFC still =/) the convo went cold haha.

ANYWAYS, I am doing the POF thing too and I was curious as to what kind of success you are seeing... How many girls have initiated contact, and what is the reply rate of messages when you initiate?

It's pretty funny actually, i had almost zero expectations when I started POF. Im not a big fan of online dating and meeting but recently I've had a bunch of friends tell me about their success so I just decided to try it out for myself.

I've sent out about 30 messages thus far and have gotten back 8 replies and 2 women have messaged me. Not bad, I guess, for someone who did absolutely no research into it. Or at least I think

If you send out a 100 messages all with the same message at best your reply rate be like 20 at best. Realistically it be 10 tops, which will give you a 1:10 ratio at best. More than likely you will get 5 or so replies back from spamming 100 profiles with the same message. Now if you want higher reply rates, you are going to have to come up with a message tailored to the profile. Granted this wastes more time, but it will generate higher replies.

Granted, I'm no expert, but what I've been doing with varied sucess. I have a kind of copied end to my message, but i start with a customised starting line.
SO i'll read the profile to spot something then my message will be like.
(she said something about hating ants...)

subject: you're my 1st antophobe...

I dont know if thats the proper word or not feel free to correct me
:P Whata re you like with bad spelling and lack of punctuation?
SOme people really hate it...
Anyway :) How're you miss "iv been all over the world" what're you
like with other creepy crawlies? DOnt think Iv ever had port...

[Then the generic bit just says:
Anyway... then i chat some stuff about being kinda interesting but i could be totally wrong etc etc

DSJ x x

sometimes ill get a lot of replies, sometimes i'll get a few. I think pof is pretty fickle with that. Same with women in real life though I guess. And its easier to ignore people online.
