Hey guys, I have some questions regarding paying for a girl's date

I am in high school and am planning to go out with this girl I have been talking to. I have read in many pua books that you shouldn't pay for the girl all the time or even at first, because it would lower your value and put her on a pedestal.

Is this different in high school where it is pretty much expected?

Also, if I choose not to pay for her, how do I respond to any tests I might receive for doing so? (Especially if it's nonverbal)

i either make it seem employable for her to want to pay, i tell her how i feel its wrong for a woman to be submissive to a man. if she really like me her paying for the first date symbolize her true attraction to me.

Don't overthink it. As long as you don't make a big deal out of it it won't be. The reason they tell you not to pay for girls is because a lot of guys try to impress girls and buy their attention, which obviously doesn't work (not for the right reasons anyway). It's actually ok for you to pay for the girl if you really want to, just don't do it for the wrong reasons (because you feel you HAVE to, or that you think she won't like you if you don't). If the girl doesn't have much money and you've got quite a bit, it obviously makes sense to pay, especially since you're probably the one asking her on the date. If she has plenty, then don't. If she gives you any shit for not paying for her she's not worth it anyway, just ignore any tests.

I agree with Adam, also make sure that if you pay, the girl knows you're doing it out of generosity opposed to you trying to get something from her.

That brings me to another question. I have a school dance/prom event coming up and the tickets are $35. Is this situation different or do I have to buy the girl the ticket?

Same rules here. Don't do things because you feel you HAVE to, do it because you want to (or don't do it if you don't want to).
