I can't test this over the next few days, because of location problems. But I was curious if anyone has ever tried this:

Sit down, make eye contact with a girl, see if she holds it for more than a couple of seconds, and then gesture for her to come over to you.

It's testing interest/compliance two ways in a row: by how long she holds eye contact, and if she's even willing to walk over and talk to you.

It's obviously theoreticall. I don't even know if it'll work.

I've tried it. It works about 60% of the time. Curiosity gets them over, especially if you look like you have something to say. Doesn't seem to work well with larger sets though, they won't leave the group for it.

I do it a lot at concerts/parties where there's loud music. If I see a girl hold eye contact with me, I'll smile at them, tilt my head, and motion to come to me. I've had pretty good success.

Yes it works really good in clubs with load music but this is not something newbies should try out, you need to be really confident and alpha to do this successfully so if you are experienced you should try it, it builds attraction really fast :)
