I read a story similar to this on a forum, and related it back to my own experience ive field tested it 8 or 9 times and its worked great. The only thing is i dont know how to finish it

Annother thing with a DHV story always lead into it with a line so that its not just a random story, Your noticing something then realising it relates to something that has happened in your life.

Omg i love your nails are they real?

They remind me of this girls right. I was on a flight back from New York the other month and all the flight attendants were doing there thing you know serving drinks with the big fake plastic smiles on. Then all of a sudden the plane starts to bounce, Just a little bit at first but then it keeps going and all of a sudden drops, Like properly drops drinks are going everywhere the flight attendant's fake smiles have been wiped from their face’s. And im sat next to this girl right she's screaming and in floods of tears so i grab her hand, trying to calm her down, then she starts digging her nails into my hands, But like so much that it started bleeding a little bit! The plane dipped again and she put her head into my shoulder and was crying into my arm and snotting EVERYWHERE, So i calm Her down and the plane starts to settle. She pulls her head out of my shoulder, I don't Evan know her name at this point and i swear to god, i had snot and tears all down my shirt. She felt so bad that she ended up buying me drinks for the rest of the flight home. But yeah your nails just reminded me of her.

I would tailor this to a more American style but the overall story is good. It gives value where value is due. I like the basic idea...
