I have some theories about this one, but am not sure. Short story is I offered a countersuggestion to a girl's boring first date suggestion, and apparently that scared her off or turned her off.

I had been exchanging emails back and forth w/this girl for 3 days. The rapport was actually really good and natural. She talked herself up as artistic and into museums and shit in her profile. After 3 mssgs, I suggested we meet up in the coming week. She responded back immediately saying 'i'd love to' and asked if I was around during the weekend, saying we should meet for coffee.

I fuckin hate coffee dates, so I said we should go see this exhibit at a museum. Sounded awesome to me. No response. Obviously I killed it, but I'm just trying to learn here.

Work with it. Grab a coffee first, then if the interaction is solid move to a museum with your coffee


Coffee meetup are huge for creating security for her, since she has never met you offline - it really reduces the pressure. If you vibe well, you can easily progress from the coffee to something less boring. You can lead the interaction from there.

haha. so i should have just agreed to her suggestion. funny - i read this book where the guy said never do coffee dates. they are designed to keep the girl comfortable and get you nowhere. anyway, i think it's fucked now. not sure i can re-open since i got no response.
