I went out lat night and was off to a flying start. Went to a houseparty and had spoken to pretty much everyone within twenty minutes. I knew quite a few people at the party but made the effort to meet friends of friends and generally try to (socially) own the room. Demonstrated pre-selection by walking in with a good looking female friend and approaching as soon as I entered.

I really felt like I was on a role.
It went downhill from here.

We moved onto some bars where I continued to open, with success too.
But I quickly lost all motivation to approach anyone, even girls showing signs of interest.

I was with quite a few friends, some of who are good fun, but sadly some who can be a bit socially inward. I felt slightly held back?

Do I need to reduce the number of people I go out with to just one friend who's into pickup.

Any opinions?

Why?

You have to ditch friends who are awkward or timid about hunting. Just get up from the table and say "I gotta go hit on the ladies."

You can go out with them, just don't stay with them. You've got to get your work done and you can't be hanging out with them the whole evening staring at your collective shoes.

I always spent a minute or two the following day thinking about the nights previous
events. I assumed I knew what I had done wrong but thought it was worth getting some other opinions on it.

Some of the guys were friends who were visiting me for the weekend and didn't know a lot of people, I kind of felt I had to stick with them.

But have certainly taken heed of this for the future.
So thankyou again.
