I've always used questions in my pua. introducing them, asking for help with things (im in college, so its not too difficult) to plan dates, but more importantly to show that imnot hell bent on serving only them.

what are your guys thoughts on this? have you done things similarly?

It really depends on the situation, if I need some help I'll ask for it, if I see, that someone has troubles I'll help him/her and if I have a deadline or something like that, if ask if he/she can make that for me (and in return I'll do a favour back ) altough that last one is very rare, I try to do it myself as much as possible.
Anyway since I consider myself a good person, most of the time I offer help, not because I expect something back from that person, but because it makes me feel good and if I make a one persons day better I also make my day better
