Been a few days now talking over msn and I'd like to get a phone convo going to maintain the interest level on both sides.

1) I need a very slick line where I could indirectly ask for the number without sticking my neck out.

-8/10 at least if not higher
-seems down to earth and real in personality (ie. no talk of shopping, travelling, love for make up and fashion)
-we've had a lot of convo on MSN, I've been grinding her down with neg/teasing/DHVing myself and so far she's been responding well

Thought of a line to maybe get her to come out
- "Hey I'm going shopping at the mall (very near her area) How about you come and keep me company?"
I'm a little weary of putting this out there because its a big risk if she says no my value will drop significantly and might not be able to recover from this. I could probably Freeze her out, but again it may lead to the end of our interaction because of the minimal amount of investment into each other. I appreciate all comments good or bad and thanks in advance.

Forget all that freezing her out bs, you've been talking, just ask for her number, or say we should swap numbers, or set up the shopping thing or another thing you've been talking about and then trade numbers for logistics.

The online stuff should be happening as fast as possible, but it's a fine line so not too fast but not too slow where you get stuck in online mode and she loses interest. So just make a play for a her number, no freezing out.

I've had instances where I did a #close too hastily and the girls raised their shields back up. Even though enough comfort talk was there (ie. family, school, personal things) women can get frightened easily due to the fact that they have never met you and that you could always end up being the perfect psycho. Metaphorically speaking, I'd like to pick the fruit when it is ripe and not anytime before and end up with a sour taste in my mouth.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still learning. But even if she did put up her sheilds and decline to come meet up with him. Shouldn't he mention that he'll just find someone else?

Directly asking is always the best because it shows confidence but thats usually face to face and after enough rapport is built. If its still a bit risky to ask for a number the one that works best for me is -

'well this is awkward, but my phone just told me he wants to talk to you're phone.'

It triggers the 'oh you're so funny' or 'aww thats so cute' or whatever it is that goes on in a girls mind haha. It just works well online.

Its almost a guarantee that it will work. and if you get a response anything like, 'I don't give my numbers to strangers' just say 'thats what I said to him!' and carry on as normal because you're making it seem as if its you're phone that's the weirdo and you just waltz through the shields

Its fucked up but it works really well for me and I've never not gotten a number from it.
