Sup fellow sargers.

So, my real + online sarging are presently ineffective due to countless years of being a piece of crap introvert. These days, being a 3-4th year uni student, the tight study schedule makes it hard to have free time to practice real sarging.

So, I've decided to spend the remainder of this school semester trying out POF/OKcupid and at the same time gradually work on my appearance, social, confidence, and approaching skills to prime myself up for some crazy summer sargings, which has been going good so far.

My problem online? Practically no responses back. Spent an hour/two each day this past week sending msgs based on recommendations/openers found in different threads in this section and virtually receive no responses back. I can see that they visited my profile page but no replies back. I've concluded my profile page is what scares them away.

OK, You're not really going to get high quality women just from a profile but its still important to get it nailed. what sort of framework are you working with here? My preferred framework is humour - DHV/qualify - mystery! To tired to say good points so ill skip to things that should be tweaked.

You're profile has some humour but no qualifiers and a complete lack of mystery.


so to easily create mystery and humour in my occupation I put something like jedi/sith lord/ pirate.. something funny. I get a lot of questions about it as its an easy hook. women seem to pay a lot of attention to occupation.

Never directly answer the question they ask. e.g. so you're a jedi? youre answer, I see you are from the dark side! Then talk about something completely different and if they persist just say, look I'm brad pitts ass stunt double but I don't like to brag... something completely off the wall that's exaggerated.

Start off with a joke so it sets the 'tone' of how the rest of your profile is to be read. so Anatidaephobie... blah blah (funny you said this coz i have a date tuesday feeding the ducks, will be using this lol)

She knows everything about you from this, no mystery at all. Mystery can be created by not SPAM too many details. Avoid talking about yourself too much. Be aloof. Don't talk about you're job and don't be too specific. Allow her to use her imagination to figure you out. Think of movie trailers or an episode of lost. Give her a taster and then cut the supply. Create suspense and anticipation!

I've reworked it a bit, added some mystery, cut out some unnecessary info, and used some of your liners.

Lemme know if it needs more work but for the moment going to try this profile on about ~10 girls on POF and see them results lol

I like some of the profile (Liiiifffeee) but it reads really poorly. You're in college, make it known. Write it so that it's almost a story or a poem; lead the girl from one paragraph to the next, and let her know you're not just another dumb online guy. Prove that you're intelligent AND funny AND interesting.

A lot of your profile is really good but it reads awkwardly in a few places. Read it out loud and you'll notice what I mean.

1) My Version - "I've noticed half of the girls on here complain that life is too short. Liiiiiiiiiiiife. Problem solved."

2) The entire spitting contest thing is just weird/confusing...not as funny as you can be.

3) "Sleepless University Student"...I think you've got a better line in you

4) Remove the $$ symbols...it screams "texting"

5) Also, make yourself 5'10"...it'll just look a lot better.

Besides what others have said, tone down the whole energy of your profile. Its like your an 8 year old kid on a sugar high or something.

I personally think the free sites, POF and OkCupid are just bombarded with too many dudes/scam artists/ etc...The nigerian scam artists are definitely a real thing. Beware of any incredibly hot girl, I mean straight 10, that tries to add you out of the blue on OkCupid.

I don't know, I'm by no means an un-attractive guy, I even got some notification by OkCupid that based on the clicks on my page I was rated as good looking. Not to sound conceited, just give you an idea of my physical appearance.

Having said that, I've gotten probably 2 or 3 responses from any girls, and only one that turned into a date. This is after sending completely different (not copy-pasted) messages to probably 50-80 girls combined on both sites..

I'm not a big fan of this realm of game, so much of this game is body language, tone of voice, how well you groom yourself...and sadly, besides looks, none of that can truly come through a "profile". I found more success just talking to girls downtown. Or whatever real world interactions are available.

There is a lot of dudes, and women are bedazzled with choice. My dick would fall off if the roles were reversed but women being women are picky. All you can do if get your profile up to scratch, get some nice pics, sort out a decent format for your messages and then play the numbers game.

In regards to the flooding of scammers, it's pretty easy to spot the fake ones, with ridiculously hot girls you can just tell after a while which are real and which are not. But I've been on match this month, rubbish!! I just can't seem to get them to respond, pretty sure it's because they're more relationship orientated and seem to be in super picky dream man hunting mod and my profile isn't all lets go have babies and settle down shit. I have far more success on pof.

match.com is made up of members who don't pay but you still see their profile and there is no way to tell if they are full members or not. If you don't pay you cant send a reply until you do. They let you message them so that they get tempted to pay up to respond but lets face it its unlikely. Also makes up numbers for advertising when they say over a million members or whatever it is. only 10% of those are paying members.

Try adding you're email in the message so they have a way of responding back. It will show you are smart if anything.

They also filter out email addresses so type in you're email in a message like this.

e.g. joeblogs (at) hotmail (dot) com
