Gym is a tough place to open I find because people don't feel comfortable talking around workouts and girls feel embarrassed cos they have no makeup and are sweaty or whatever. But I gave this a go today and got me a number close!

Approached a HB8 (rockin body! Love girls who put the effort in!) she was doing some obscure thing on a stability ball. I said

'Hey that looks tough could you show me how to do it?'

Couple of mins playing around trying to learn it. Introduced myself and after a bit of talking asked her to show me one more time! When she did I said:

'Yea this is tough hopefully I don't look that stupid when I do it though!' (neg)

This received a punch on the arm and laughing...great response!

Got her number in the end and closed my first HB in the gym!

ME:

I am a fitness director in a gym and a fitness management consultant at tons of gyms. Needless to say the gym game is comes easy to me and I have had a lot of success with it. Your opener is great because it is non threatening and playful. The neg is perfect! I would have added just a touch more.

After she showed you the exercise I would said "now I am going to show you one"

This will allow you to move the target and get her following you (hopefully back to your place eventually)

Keep in mind that if she is still talking to you then attraction is obviously there.

Now pick any exercise for the lats, posterior deltoids, rhomboids. Show her an example of how to do it. After your set spot her on hers. Explain that these are muscles that women have a harder time identifying with and place your hand on the area and have her focus there. (Kino) If she is digging your touch you will definitely know.

If all is still giggly and well then you can smell her hair and whisper something along the lines of (Mystery) "I am trying so hard not to kiss you right now"

With enough sexual tension and kino you are probably not getting action on the spot but as an after gym cool down. I can tell you from personal experience that this works. I think secretly every time a chick sweats she starts thinking about fucking. It's like there whole system get's primed. Cute girls at the gym are either wondering if they looks sexy or thinking about how sexy they are going to look. Either way they are thinking about feeling sexy. Just try the exact same open and finish like this at another gym... when you get her home just make sure all the banging doesn't make her go over 80% of her maximal heart rate;That will cause her system to go catabolic and completely waste her workout : P

I could see this being a bit difficult if you've been lifting for a while already(me). Going up to a girl and asking her how to do something would seem weird because it always goes the other way, not necessarily random girls asking me, but people I know.

Doesn't matter man, the more she picks up that you don't actually need the advice and that you're just interested in talking to her the more she'll understand your intentions and will be easier to escalate.

this is a really good thread and i'd like to see it evolve. I'd imagine most PUAs go to the gym or similar environment to exercise, as we look after the way we look. personally, many of my evenings are spent at the gym or sport centre, and there are lots of girls around. However, although I can approach in a bar or club no problem, i haven't been able to approach in a gym. It is tough. I've seen guys try and fail and some girls just want to focus on working out. I'd love to figure out ways to do it. One of the problems is that my gym is always busy and I know other people will be watching and listening. I know that shouldn't matter, but it does! Keep the ideas coming because I've been scratching my head and got nothing...

I would really like to revitalize this thread and get some more opinions on here from MPUAs and other forum members. The gym is a perfect place to find hbs looking for attention. Any ideas on how we can bring some life into this thread?

Great post! However, I go to the gym to just work out, thats it. Thats all you have to do if you want to get good results. There are plenty of places where you can pick up a girl...:) Also, if you approach and try to open with a girl at the gym she is almost 100% sure that you try to hit on her. ;)

I don't think it breaks any of the laws of physics... but it might be against the gym policies.

A HB just opened me yesterday while I was having my regular workout at the local gym!!
I usually dont speak to anyone in the gym (especially I dont hit girls) , just do my workout fully concentrated and than leave. But as I was having my worm-up this babe was doing some lounges next to me and she totally unexpectedly opened me with some random comment like "uffff this lounges are tough. my knees are hurting me..." + stm additionally I did not get fully
I even made her repeat what she said :)

So I responded totally suprized by this fact and we had a short chat on lounges.

Afterward we continued our workouts separately (no time to waste :)) but I decided not to leave it at that so I made what i felt like an indirect move on her while she was doing some exercise to initiate some additional chat with similar topics. After a few minutes she ended the convo with comment like: Its not whats outside that counts but inside. I said that I totally agree with a big smile as we moved on...

So, was she hitting on me or not what do you think? How should I proceed next time I see her in the gym? Direct/Indirect? Should I try to build comfort first while moving to the number close?

btw
I intentionally did some weighted glute bridges in front of her while she was having crunches. Nobody ever does this exercise i the gym and the movement is quite interesting. I am sure she noticed. Just to raise some sexual tension... :)

In my experience when a girl opens you in the gym it is an extremely big IOI. Big time DHV and close for that situation "I am really enjoying talking to you but I take my workouts very seriously. Can we exchange numbers and continue this conversation later?"

Sounds great.
I was thinking of asking her to assist me on my bench press next time. In a playful way :)

Or positioning myself next to her on elliptical machine and initiating some more chat in a direction of asking her her number so we could meet up for some morning cardio if she is interested.

And yes. I was totally surprised. Girls are just used to be in the center of attention in the gym and are really not expected to make any moves...

I opened on a HB who was on the rower yesterday with this. She stopped rowing and as I was about to leave she was like 'so what do you do?' she was saying my job was amazing and trying to drag out the convo. However I said I had to get back to my workout- leave her wanting more coz I know I'll see her in the gym again.

See, he thinks its all about muscle mass, getting big like arnie; and I'm saying no you need to keep slim and be toned. Honestly I feel like punching him sometimes... (HB)
Then did a small cold read and got up to go when she was trying to hold my attention.

Btw, the answer she gave me was surprising, go use the opener and find out for yourselves.
