Are there any other entreprenurial minded gamers out there???

I find many gamers are naturally inclined toward wanting to become financially free and no longer a slave to the man for the next 30-40 years.

Would be great to leverage the community for entreprenurial pursuits. If there are any entrepreneurs wanting to collaborate on projects out there, then PM me and tell me your skills.

Coders, graphic designers and investors are highly recommended to contact me.

Anyone else out there with entrepreneur experiences they want to share. Any thoughts on 4 hour work week????

I haven't even finished the 4 hour work week and i can honestly say that it has changed my life. part of my goals for this year is based on this book. If you haven't read it, then you owe it to yourself to read it.

There is another thread on the 4hww, please read my response: 4-hour-work-week-vt84972.html

Haluvibe - There definitely are...you just have to look at the what do you do for a a living threads to see that...

More than not wanting to be come a slave to the man, I think it has something to do with a different internal drive we have...That is, I can't put my finger on it, but maybe something to do with control and independence?

My plate is stacked way too high for my own good, but I think there should be individuals willing to work...Infact, I could use another Javascript guy.

Yo havok, if you've been part of the new rich for a while now, how do you go about it?

I wouldn't call myself a member of the New Rich, I am 22, still at uni/college, I am living completely debt free with a nice place, ironically full of Ikea furniture (slave to my possessions, per fight club, haha) and a paid for vehicle, but the bank account is not very full and I have not contributed to my 401 or Roth in a while....

But, its easy...Tim says the cornerstone for the NR is time and mobility, right?

I go everywhere with my laptop, Iphone, Ipad, and camera...I can literally go anywhere I want, passport in hand, motorcycle ready to ride off in the sunset or truck ready to go on a road trip...DFW airport is 15-20 min away...I can literally go anywhere today if I wanted...

Anyway...I utilize Polyphasic sleep (http://dustincurtis.com/sleep.html), and I can outsource when I need to for any of my 3 businesses. I have merchant accounts for my printing business, they can literally drop ship to my clients. For my web business I have a team of kick butt coders around the country. (I don't like doing web anymore, so I don't do much, they do it)...I have a bunch of eager film students that pretty much run and do the hard stuff for my media business...All I have to do is show up to shoots, mingle with the clients, and make creative decisions...I pay all my people well, they are happy, and I know they will be loyal to me unless I screw em...Which I would never do...

Tims happiness model is great, if you like it, do it, if not, screw it. The 80/20 rule applys with my businesses as well. I am about to buy a new truck with cash and a $20,000 printer...Life is good, except for the lack of ass, which I am spending 80% of my time working on...Oh, and school. haha

My motto has been: Live happy, drink a ton, and live life debt free. (Dave Ramsey)

What do you do John?

Well if you are debt free and you have 3 working companies then yes you area member for the NR. So congrats.

You should write a sort article talking about how you did it. I'm still trying to get my first set up.

I have no idea what book you guys are talking about but a real job would go SO FAR in helping me.

It would improve my self-confidence and inner game.

It would allow me to be self-sustaining and function independently from relying on mutually beneficial relationships with other people, which is of course the only way it's possible to survive on minimum wage.

It would enable me to peacock a little better, get critical dental care, be able to go on that random money-costing date, maybe even save a little and allow me to further better myself by getting my student loans out of default and giving me another shot at the education I failed to get the first time around, raising my status significantly.

Why did I fail to get an education the first time around? Ultimately because I failed to apply myself. I was distracted by deaths in my family, my desire to master this area of my life (except without all these resources and programs that I weren't aware existed), and had trouble adjusting to the shock of living in such a different area after the life I grew up with.

I could list all the excuses one could possibly want to justify my failing out of college and defaulting on my loans, but ultimately I shoulder the blame myself. It was my fault. I've learned from THAT mistake now. Another shot at an education and I would do it RIGHT!

I am hardworking and I'll do whatever you need done, as well as I can every time. I can keep a secret. I'll work tons of hours if need be.

I have an impeccably clean criminal and driving record. I've driven a substantial amount for nine years and never even had a ticket.

I'm not the dumbest person out there either. I graduated from High School with a 3.9 GPA and got into one of the best schools in my state. Surely there must be someone out there who can put me to better, and more financially rewarding use than minimum wage. 88 ASVAB, 29 ACT.

Dream employer, if you're reading this please get in touch with me! I'm from Central Ohio, but for the right job I'd be willing to relocate. Resume available upon request.
