Just curious what the best advice is regarding eye contact when making a joke around a woman- should it be done or not?

I ask because I notice that I'm pretty good at making eye contact with women while meeting them, during the rapport stage, and even when negging, but if I make a general situational joke I'm usually looking straight ahead at nothing in particular- especially if I'm in a group.

I know that eye contact shows confidence, which is important, but I've also wondered if doing it when making a joke makes you appear too needy (i.e., could be construed as you watching her to make sure she laughs). Also, I make sure to have a confident tone behind my jokes- they're said with force, with the knowledge that what I say will be funny, and are always audible- but I rarely make eye contact while saying them.

Any thoughts? And would there be any differences between one-on-one and group conversation with this issue?

Like any kind of body communication, it's how you make eye contact that matters. Make confident eye contact. Don't ask me how, just do it. "Your body can do a lot," if you don't think so hard about it.

Do you think eye contact should be held during the entire joke then? If it's in a group, with whom, your target?

I hold eye contact with everybody, straight into their eyes. Shows my dominance and control.
